Want to start 2010 off with new tools to help you cope with daily challenges?
Whether your themes revolve around memoir or mystery, you love poetry more than prose, are published or aspiring to be published, this workshop offers something for everyone.
Did you know approximately 40% of us make one or more resolutions each year?
Did you know people who make resolutions are 10 times more likely to attain their goals than people who don’t explicitly make resolutions?
Join us for a day dedicated to helping you:
• DECIDE – choose your writing path for 2010. Is this the year you finish the manuscript? Start a blog? Find an agent?
• DECLARE – set goals and brainstorm ways to achieve them. Is this the year you attend the WNBA-SF Meet-the-Agents event and pitch your manuscript?
• DESIGN – create a vision board for 2010 (a visual representation or collage of the things that you want to have, be, or do in 2010).
The workshop will be facilitated by Mary E. Knippel, writer, creativity mentor, speaker and workshop facilitator. Mary conducts workshops in which participants discover their authentic selves and encourages everyone to use creativity as a healing tool. She is the immediate past president of the WNBA-SF, a member of the California Writer’s Club-Peninsula Branch and a member of the Bay Area Travel Writers.
The Women’s National Book Association-San Francisco Chapter is a part of a rich literary heritage. Started in 1917 in New York City by a group of women booksellers who were excluded from the annual booksellers’ convention, WNBA was founded to unite and support women in the book industry. Today, there are eight chapters across the nation and is a non-government membership at the United Nations.
