Laurie McAndish King will give a PowerPoint presentation about Puglia, Italy, and others will read their stories about the same area on Wed., June 10. Here’s the official information:
Venturing in Italy — Travels in Puglia, Land Between Two Seas
Co-presented by the Museo ItaloAmericano with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di San Francisco. Venturing in Italy: Travels in Puglia, Land between Two Seas is edited by Barbara J. Euser and Connie Burke. Nineteen writers set loose in the region narrate their experiences in the newly published travel anthology. History abounds in Puglia, from prehistoric caverns to archeological sites of Greek and Roman cities and temples, from houses built in caves to stone trulli to medieval castles and fortresses. Today’s Puglia is vibrantly alive with unique local wines and cuisine, thermal spas, championship golf courses and its own music. The evening will feature a power point photo presentation [by Laurie McAndish King] and readings from selected stories. Please R.S.V.P. to Museo ItaloAmericano – Space is limited.
