National Geographic Cancels Print “Adventure” Magazine

National Geographic Adventure

This is a sad one to report: National Geographic is canceling the print editions of its Adventure magazine.  The brand will continue in e-zines, books, the website, awards and mobile applications.  According to an article in Folio, Adventure had a circulation of 625,000, but ad revenue fell 44% in the first three-quarters of 2009.

The article says National Geographic Traveler’s ad revenue  dropped 40% in the same period but National Geographic says it is committed to Traveler.

Shoot, just when I discover it, it goes under.

How can I get previous editions or connect with whatever continues?

    Thanks,
