1. Click on “Member Log-in” on the BATW Website (www.batw.org).
2. You will be taken to a new window and the login page for the “Members Only Area” of the BATW website.
3. Type in your username and password, and click on “Login”.
4. Click on “Member Directory” near the top of the page in the center.
5. Click on “My Profile” to display the options for changing your Profile.
6. Click on “Change profile picture” to add, remove, or replace a photograph of yourself in the Profile. Click on the “Browse” button to locate a new photo of yourself on your computer’s hard drive, then click the “Upload” button to add it to your Profile. Then click on “Save” on the right-hand side of the screen.
7. Click on “Edit profile” to change or add information to your Profile.
8. The Profile contains an “Activities” section. List as many as you like. (At the top of the screen you will see “Preferences” . Click on this if you want to set the number of activities to be displayed to be other than the default number: 20.)
9. VERY IMPORTANT: When you have finished editing your profile, scroll down and click on “Save”. You may have to scroll down to see it at the bottom of the page. If you don’t click on “Save”, the changes you have just made will not be incorporated into your Profile. (You will see another “Save” at the top right-hand side of the screen; you can click on this instead of the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.)
10. At least some errors (like failure to include the Website address, or URL, for a published story) will be flagged for review and possible correction when you hit “Save.” If you make further changes, hit “Save” again.
11. Note that the “My Features” tab on your Profile has not as yet been set up by BATW.
12. Your Profile has now been successfully updated. You can either remain in the “Members Only Area” of the Website and review information in the Event List, Member Directory, or Services sections, or click on “Logout” to exit the “Members Only Area”.
