Some information:

BATW member and prolific writer Antoinette May loves travel writing but says she longed to expand her bandwidth into the alluring field of fiction. The opportunity came unexpectedly when an intriguing anecdote meshed with her knowledge of-and experience writing about-the magic, mythic land of Yucatan. Antoinette’s guide, Yucatan: A Guide to the Land of Mayan Mysteries, became the framework against which her fictional tale plays out. The result is an authenticity of place, a sureness of detail, that could never have evolved without the nitty-gritty experience of compiling a guide. If you’ve ever imagined doing this yourself, come and hear how one writer made it happen

Antoinette May’s novel, The Secret Well, is a recent HarperCollins publication. Her debut novel, Pilate’s Wife, has been printed in 18 languages. An award-winning travel writer specializing in Mexico, May is author of the New York Times bestseller Adventures of a Psychic.

In addition to talking about creating fiction from our travels, Antoinette says she will share some tips on publishing, agents, dos, don’ts.
